Texas State German Contest
On Saturday, the Sprachfest Team at LASA competed against over 700 students from 39 high schools across more than 90 different events at the Texas State German Contest. Some highlights included 1st place in doll costume design, a freshman team placing 1st place in the German Language Scavenger H
FBLA Dominates
FBLA competed in the bi-area competition January 30th - February 3rd. We fielded 119 students in the competitions and were very successful in representing LASA at the area event.
Sci O Success!
Last weekend, our A-team competed at the GGSO Invitational at UC Berkeley in California. The competition was exciting and we were able to compare our stacked team to some of the most competitive teams in the nation!
Debate Cannot be beat!
The LASA Debate Team traveled to Atlanta, GA in early February for five consecutive days of competition. They came back with two championships at two of the most important tournaments of the season.

Latin Club Prevails at UT!
On January 27, LASA Latin Club competed at the Longhorn Certamen tournament at UT. Our two teams, one intermediate and one advanced, each did very well. Congrats to all of LASA's Certamen players!
German Students Compete at 49th Annual Regional Sprachfest
On February 3rd the LASA German Students competed in the 49th Annual Regional Sprachfest. More than 60 LASA students competed in over 40 events involving art, drama, speaking skills, language knowledge, Music, Prose and Poetry.
Scholastic Art Award Winners
Please congratulate the following students for their award winning entries in the Scholastic Art competition. This year's entry system was extremely glitchy and they pushed through and performed well. We are very proud of them!
Swim & Dive District Champions Again!
On January 27th, both the Boys and Girls Swim and Dive Teams maintained their legacy District Championships at The Round Rock Aquatics Center. 46 athletes competed, and 40 swimmers and divers will be advancing on to the Region VII 5A Championship in San Antonio on February 9th-10th.
