Prospective students and their families are welcomed onto the LASA Campus. You will be able to walk around the school, attend an application workshop presentation, explore our many classes, and attend performances by our Fine Arts programs. Keep an eye out for the sessions where you can meet with current students or current parents to get their take on the LASA Experience. For families who can only attend one event on campus, we suggest you attend this one!

We will have 4 virtual Saturday sessions where students and parents can attend to get any help with the application from the LASA Mentoring Committee. These sessions are completely optional and run by parent volunteers. No LASA staff will be present and attending has no bearing on LASA acceptances.  We are here to help! 

More information can be found on the sign up form. Bring your drafts for the short answers and/or creative project with you to the session, come practice the sample questions for Admission test.

    • Students do not need to register or bring anything for the test, simply show-up at LASA 15 min before the test as we will begin promptly. 

    • Students who need testing accommodations may request those by filling out this form no later than Monday, January 1, 2026 for the test on Saturday, January 10, 2026 and  no later than Monday, January 19, 2026 for the test on Saturday, January 24, 2026.  Accommodations will be available at the morning testing sessions only, not afternoon.

• NOTE! Students may only attend one testing session. If a student is found to have attended two testing sessions, only the results from the first session they attended will be considered.

• Parents may choose to attend the "Find your Fit Parent Panel" during the CogAT testing time.  See below for more details.
   

Is your family torn between two high schools? Still trying to find your fit for next year? PFLASA invites you to hear perspectives from parents who have both a LASA Raptor and a student in another high school. There are a multitude of fantastic programs in our district and beyond. Hear first hand what made LASA the right fit for some of their kiddos and not for others.

This will take place is in the PFLASA Portable (next to tennis courts) during all COGAT sessions.

• Shadow Dates will begin January 12, 2026 and end on the day priority registration closes in Enroll Austin. (Date: TBD)  There are a limited number of spaces per day.

• Only students who have submitted their completed LASA Application will be allowed to request a shadow date. 

• Information on how to request a date to shadow is sent to student after the completed LASA Application is submitted.
