LASA Liberator honored

We have heard from TAJE and ILPC about how much they love the LASA Liberator! UIL's Interscholastic League Press Conference honored the LASA Liberator with the Award of Distinguished Merit, the highest rating for a student newspaper.

LASA Crew Members Impress in CA

We are excited to share that several LASA students recently competed in the San Diego Crew Classic (SDCC)—one of the most prestigious high school rowing regattas in the country, held annually on Mission Bay in San Diego, California.

LASA A Vertikills wins the TUSC Spring League (again!)

The TUSC Ultimate Spring League just wrapped up and our LASA A Vertikills are league champions - and undefeated - again! The last match was a nail biter against Lake Travis, and LASA A delivered.  Congratulations to our champions!! 

Raptor Women’s Lacrosse Season Wrap Up

The LASA Women's Lacrosse team wrapped up their season with 6 wins and 5 losses and finished in second place in the division. It was the first winning season for LASA Lacrosse in almost a decade. The highlight of the season was a down-to-the-wire upset win over Bowie. 

LASA Varsity Tennis players moving on to STATE May 15th & 16th in San Antonio!

We had a strong showing at Regionals in College Station this past week. Mahir Vallabhaneni placed 3rd in boys singles after a tough match against the 3-time State Champ. Mahir qualifies to play at State!

Raptor Guitarist Takes the Stage beside Living Legend

Senior Kian Mitchell along with 8 other Austin area high school classical guitarists were contacted in July 2024 and invited to collaborate on a musical project with Pepe Romero that culminated in 4 sold out concerts last weekend.

Junior Eva Cragnolino, is the STATE CHAMPION in the girls’ 5A 3200 meter race with a time of 10:30:45

This year, LASA proudly entered three Varsity Choirs, SSA, TBB, and Mixed, into the Region 18 UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation.

All-State Archery

3 HUGE Shout Outs to our archers! Ty Camp was named to the First Team All-State! Elias Gruber was named to the Second Team All-State! Camila Bosquez was named as Honorable Mention All-State!

State Latin Competition Success!

Last weekend six Latin students competed at the TSJCL State convention. LASA got 1st place in the Red Division sweepstakes. That means that we got the most points out of the schools that brought less than 9 students.
