Congratulations to our students who auditioned for the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 18 Jazz Band! Approximately 100 students auditioned from 13 high schools across our region. Those who earned a spot in an ensemble will rehearse and perform on Monday and Tuesday, November 18-19 during the clinics and concert. Those who advanced to the Area level will record their etudes next week giving them a chance to earn a chair in one of the two prestigious All-State Jazz Ensembles! Wish them luck as they continue on! I am proud of each of these students for their hard work in preparation, their courage to audition in front of their peers across the region, and I am impressed by their artistry and musicianship! Go Raptor Jazz Band!
