Reflections 24-25 Accepting Imperfection

We would like to recognize and congratulate the amazing artists who participated and excelled in this year’s Reflections Art Program. The theme this year was Accepting Imperfection and we had a decent response from LASA and hope to grow this program even larger next fall!!!

LASA Archery

The LASA Archery Team took 2nd place in the first tournament of the season! Several raptors took top individual spots including Ari Durnal-Harry (1st place in her division), and Camila Bosquez (3rd), Ty Camp (4th), and Avery Luther (5th) in their division.

Youth and Government

Prior to break, Youth & Government competed in their district competition. We had over 100 students participating and won the elections for Governor: Spandana Palyam and Speaker of the house: Colin Liu. If you see them, congratulate them!

All State Orchestra

Congratulations to this year's All-State Orchestra members who will be representing LASA HS at the 2025 TMEA Convention in San Antonio next February!

LASA Student Represents AISD at Inspire the Future Event

Congratulations to LASA senior, Ailia Zhao, not only was she chosen as one of the first 35 AISD students to participate in a district sponsored internship this past summer, but she and Joaquin Sanchez from Akins were the masters of ceremony last Monday at AISD’s Inspire the Future Event.  

Latin Wins Big

Our Advanced LASA Certamen team won their first competition of the season, Caledonia Classic, this past Saturday. They earned a grand total of 690 points to qualify for Finals, which was over 200 points higher than any other advanced team!

Raptor Volleyball is Playoff Bound

On Friday the LASA Raptors took on a very tough Cedar Creek Eagles team at Burger Center in a post season play-in.   For the 3rd time this season, the Raptors took the W and will head to playoffs.  

Marching Band Makes LASA History

Please help me congratulate the LASA Raptor Band on their success last weekend at the UIL Area 'D' Marching Band Contest! We finished 5th in Prelims out of 29 bands, and 7th in Finals out of 10.

Cross-Country Runners Impress at State

The LASA Cross Country Team's 2024 season culminated with one of its own on the State medal stand yesterday. Junior runner Eva Cragnolino placed eighth overall in Texas and ran a new personal best at the UIL State 5-A Cross Country Championship.

Science Olympiad Starts Season Strong

Our LASA Science Olympiad team competed at the UT Invitational this past weekend, placing 2nd out of 46 teams on Saturday!

Talent runs deep on the LASA Tennis Team!

The Freshman tennis team had a great showing at the end-of-season tournament on Tuesday against 17 other area high schools.

Aquaraps Off to a Great Start

The LASA Swim and Dive Team had a double-header on October 25th and 26th, competing at both the AISD Invitational and the Angleton Surfside Invitational.
