Onions, a short film written and directed by Gael Garza (Class of 2025) screened yesterday at the All American High School Film Festival (https://www.hsfilmfest.com/) in New York today. 

AAHS is the largest high school film festival in the world, and the film is a product of Ms. Mokry’s AVP class and features an all LASA crew, Emily Polio (Class of 2024), Rylie Shieh (Class of 2024), Adrian Ching (Class of 2024), Genevieve Schroeder-Arce (Class of 2024), Moth Hoffman (Class of 2024), and Hayden Ortiz-Caudle (Class of 2025).

The film was also selected for this year’s Cine Las Americas Emergencia student competition where it won the Audience award. It was also selected for Cinefest in San Antonio and Revolution Me in New York.
