This summer, LASA junior Kai Benton attended the National Junior Classical League convention in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He placed 1st in Academic Heptathlon and Ancient Geography, 2nd in Reading Comprehension Prose and Roman History, 3rd in Mottoes and Latin Derivatives, and 4th in Roman Life and Latin Vocabulary. He also placed fourth among all levels in the Academic Decathlon (the hardest test), fifth in advanced Certamen (Latin-themed quiz bowl), and sixth overall academically.
