LASA BD (Eleanor Barrett and Jack Dollinger) and LASA BS (Christian Bohmer and Anita Sosa) closed out the final round of the Texas Forensic Association (TFA) State Championship. This means both teams advanced to finals, eliminating all other schools by the semifinals. This is an impressive accomplishment which has only ever been achieved 2 other times. Both partnerships went undefeated the entire tournament. 

LASA debaters received an astounding 5 of the top-10 speaker awards. Congratulations to Eleanor Barrett (2nd), Jack Dollinger (4th), Bilal Faisal (7th), Anita Sosa (8th), Christian Bohmer (9th), Sam Low (11th), Lucy Loehr (18th), and Maikle Low (20th) for receiving top-20 speaker awards. 

Additionally, LASA FL (Bilal Faisal and Sam Low) and LASA LR (Dedeepya Rudraraju and Lucy Loehr) reached the octafinals (top 16). The partnerships LASA LM (Maikle Low and Clara Mengloi), LASA BL (Ankit Bhasi and Cephas Liu), and LASA CZ (Zoe Canon and Elena Zong) all reached the double octafinals (top 32).

This is LASA's second state championship, after winning in 2017.
