LASA ninth grader, Makai Nguyen, was selected as a winner in the 2024 Picture This contest held by the League of Women Voters Austin Area. This contest for Austin area students (grades 1-12) asked participants to submit original written work or visual artwork addressing the theme of "Democracy and Community." Makai won in the High School Written Work category. Congratulations, Makai, we are very proud of you!
