Congratulations the members of the 2024 Raptor Full Orchestra in earning sweepstakes at our UIL Concert and Sight-Reading evaluation this week! The ensemble earned straight Division 1 Superior ratings from all six judges, both on the concert and the sight-reading portions of the evaluation. We opened the program with Concerto Grosso No. 1 in G major by Handel followed by Marche Slave by Tchaikovsky and closed the program with Danzon No. 2 by Márquez. Bravo and congrats to Mr. East for his inspiring and thoughtful leadership and dedication to crafting the details, style, and character of the music. We had a blast on stage, and everyone played their hearts out! We are exceedingly proud of their teamwork and commitment towards taking on a technically and artistically challenging program and reaching new heights.
