A couple of weeks ago, LASA Science Olympiad traveled to UC Berkeley to compete in the Golden Gate Science Olympiad Invitational. There were 54 teams from across the nation and one international team from Peru in attendance. LASA placed 9th OVERALL and was the highest ranked Texas team in attendance. GGSO is considered a "mini-nationals" and we couldn't be prouder of our students who represented LASA in their events.

The following students won individual awards:

• 2nd Place: Trajectory- Khush Lalchandani and Milla Press
• 3rd Place: Environmental Chemistry- Justin Wickelgren and Wndy Geng
• 6th Place: Detector Building- Ram Sivaraman and Aadi Bhat
