With over 20 course options, the LASA Science Department offers choices to satisfy any interest, ranging from the study of the composition and behavior of subatomic particles to the complex relationships that connect ecosystems.
All 9th Grade students complete Pre-AP Biology and Science and Technology (aka SciTech ), a 9th Grade Signature Course.
Students enrolled in the 10th Grade are enrolled in Pre-AP Chemistry and Planet Earth, a 10th Grade Signature Course.
In the 11th Grade, students complete Physics, while in 12th Grade students are required to complete at least one Science elective though many students enroll in several depending on their interests and future ambitions.
