The Vertikills Ultimate Frisbee A team recently traveled to Nashville to participate in their first out-of-state tournament, the River Campus Classic (RCC). Their path to a second place finish included several dominant performances and a win over West Jessamine, ranked 14th in the country. After RCC, the National Boys High School Power Rankings were updated, and the Vertikills appeared on the list for the very first time—at 15th! This all paved the way for another first: accepting a bid to the High School National Invite (HSNI), for the opportunity to play against the top teams in the country.

Congratulations to Coach Tina Woodings and all the players on the roster, including Captains Iago Ansede, Rachel Joy-Rocha, and Vance Mader; Spirit Captains Dash Lemens, Joseph Sunukjian and Will Basham; and teammates Akash McMinn, Arden Randazzo, Aryan Singh, Bodhi Weston, Gabe Tao, Isaac Boothe, Mackenzie Stogner, Mario Bellavia, Michael Addison, Nathan Lee, Noah Loy, Oliver Wells, Owen Huels, Skyyler Buckley, Solomon Moon, and Wren Knight.
