On Monday, January 22nd, 2024, Representative Lloyd Doggett was at LASA to award the winner of his Congressional App Challenge. He stated: 

With Austin a global tech industry leader, I was pleased to recognize the winners of our Congressional App Challenge—Liberal Arts & Science Academy high school seniors Vedanth Ramanathan, Vedant Sangani, William Gu, and Justin Kwon—for their app “FoodCycle,” which uses an online marketplace approach to facilitate the redistribution of excess food and produce to families in need while also reducing harmful methane emissions from food waste.
