A special shout out to Zaina Khattary. On Saturday, March 11, Zaina traveled to Houston to compete in the Texas State Japanese Language Contest. She was awarded first place for the Haiku competition. This the first time a LASA student has taken first place at the state Japanese competition. Way to represent, Zaina!
