Choice sheets for all incoming students are due at 11:59 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
WORLD LANGUAGE PLACEMENT EXAMS (This is ONLY for students who are taking Level III in one of our World Languages)
Students who selected any level 3 World Language on their choice sheet will receive an email with the link to the test the day before the test.

If you have not received the link to the test by 8 AM on the test date, you may email jessica.cherry@austinisd.org to request it. The link will only be sent out to students who have credit for I and II and are signed up for level III of any world language at LASA. (If you are taking level I, II, or IV, you do not need to take this test and will not receive a link to it.)
The test is untimed and students may take it at any time between 8 AM when it opens and 4 PM when it closes. Most students finish the test in about 2 hours.

8:15 AM - 2:30 PM: New Student Orientation for 9th graders with last names M-Z + ALL incoming 10th-12th graders
If you absolutely cannot attend the NSO date for your last name, you can attend the other date. There is no need to let LASA know. Just please try to attend the date assigned to you!
We deeply recommend that incoming students attend New Student Orientation. If you absolutely cannot attend either date, there is no way to make this up in advance or after the fact. But, you will be able to get your student ID, textbooks etc. during the first week of school.
