Applications for 2026-2027 School Year are now open.

Deadline: January 30, 2026 

You must reside within the Austin ISD boundaries in order to apply to LASA High School for the 2026-27 school year.
For families who own their home, the homestead exemption is one of the factors used to determine primary residency.
 

General Admissions Updates

LASA will begin sending application emails sometime in December to those families who have submitted the LASA Application, or filled out the LASA Interest Form.  These updates are exactly what is posted here. You may unsubscribe (bottom of the email you receive from blog@lasahighschoool.org or subscribe on the webpage at anytime. These are different than the student specific status application emails you will receive once you have completed the LASA application. 

Please add @lasahighschool.org to your safe sender list (google how to whitelist a domain for your email provider).

LASA CogAT Admission Test on January 10, 2026

Dear Prospective LASA Students and Parents,

 

Below is all the information you need for the LASA CogAT Admission Test on Saturday, January 10, 2026.


If you are testing on Saturday, January 24, please disregard this message, you will receive a separate email before that exam date.

Testing Schedule:

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Last Names A–L
12:30 PM – 2:30 PM: Last Names M–Z

If your assigned time is not convenient, you may come to the other session, no need to notify LASA.

Admissions Update

January 7, 2026

All students who had submitted their LASA Application by 8 AM this morning (1/7/26) have been sent an invidualized application status email. This email was sent from donotreply@lasahighschool.org. If you had submitted your application by 8 AM this morning, but haven't received the email please search your inboxes for it, and check your spam folder manually. Then ask anyone whose email address you listed on your application to do the same before reaching out to LASA.
